Guy, what SGT Aguina did was wrong, and against regulations, but it was not "against the law". As an example, if I, as a soldier, grow hair that touches my hair or do not shave, I am in violation of AR 670-1. I am not violating any laws.
I disagree with what SGT Aguina did, but it was not "against the law" and it should be handled by his chain of command as they see fit, not by Mr. Soltz, who lost his right to be referred to as an officer when he resigned his commission.
